Steve is a seasoned technology and cybersecurity executive with over 30 years of experience in financial services. As the former Chief Information Security Officer, Chief Technology Officer, and Chief Architect at Macquarie Group, he led large-scale technology transformations and enterprise-wide cybersecurity programs, aligning security and technology strategy with business outcomes.

At KSIB, Steve works with Boards and executive teams to navigate cybersecurity, operational resilience, AI adoption, and technology strategy. He brings deep expertise in enterprise architecture, data governance, and regulatory compliance across global markets—combining technical depth with a strong commercial lens to help clients make confident decisions in an evolving threat landscape.

Steve holds a Master of Applied Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science, and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and TOGAF certified enterprise architect. His passion for technology began at age ten, programming embedded microcontrollers, and continues today through his focus on helping organisations harness AI and emerging technologies to drive innovation and resilience.
