Privacy policy
Last updated: 17 September 2026
This policy is issued by Ironbark Associates Pty Ltd trading as KSIB (ABN 44 673 815 506) for itself and its related companies HARP Marketing Group Pty Ltd, trading as HARP Marketing, and Appraise Group Pty Ltd, trading as Appraise Reporting. Together we are the KSIB group. Each company's own website carries a privacy policy for visitors to that site; this policy covers everything else.
Privacy statement
KSIB is committed to protecting your privacy. We adhere to the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and its amendments, including the Privacy and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2024. We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles when collecting, storing, handling, using, and disclosing personal information.
To demonstrate our commitment to information security, we have implemented an Information Security Management System (ISMS) in accordance with ISO27001 standards. This includes taking reasonable steps to protect personal information through technical and organisational measures, ensuring data is only retained as long as necessary, and conducting regular compliance checks.
Collection of personal information
We collect and retain personal information from clients, employees, contractors, and other individuals. We use this information to provide professional services to our clients and for our business purposes.
The main types of personal information we collect and hold may include:
- the contact details of actual and prospective clients, suppliers and other business contacts. Typically, this information includes names, e-mail addresses, company name, telephone numbers and job titles;
- personal information collected when individuals communicate with us (including via email and electronic forms);
- information about visits to our websites, described in "Our websites" below.
Our websites
This section describes the personal information we collect from visitors to ksib.com.au and how we use it. Our related companies' websites, harpmarketing.com.au and appraisereporting.com, publish their own privacy policies.
What we collect through our forms
- Contact form: your contact and company details and what you tell us.
- Newsletter: your contact and company details and the topics you choose.
- Complexity Challenge: your contact and company details, so we can send you your results.
When you submit a form we receive what you entered together with the page you were on and the marketing source of your visit, whatever your cookie choice.
What we collect automatically
When you visit, basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type is collected so the site can work and stay secure.
Interaction and activity data: the pages you view and the path you take, the marketing source that brought you here (such as campaign tags and advertising click identifiers in a link), a device signal derived from your browser and device settings that helps us recognise a returning visit, and how you interact with our emails and website. This information is not linked to your name unless you submit a form.
Our own analytics runs by default so we can see how visitors find and use the site. You can switch it off at any time using Decline all or Manage cookies in the cookie banner, or the Cookie Preferences link in the footer; if you do, its cookies are removed. We also use Google Analytics, which follows the same choice.
Why we use it
We use this information to respond to your enquiries, send you the newsletters and results you ask for, understand how visitors find and use our websites, measure how our marketing performs, and tailor our communications to what interests you.
Who receives your information
- our website platform (United States)
- our website hosting and security providers (United States)
- our own analytics system, operated for the group by our related company HARP Marketing Group Pty Ltd and hosted in Australia
- our email-marketing and customer-relationship platform (United States)
- web-font services (United States)
- Google Analytics (United States). Google may combine this with information from your Google account and use it for its own purposes; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Some of the providers above are based outside Australia, in the United States. Before we disclose personal information overseas we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Our emails
The marketing emails we send, such as our newsletter, include standard open and click tracking so we can understand engagement and improve what we send. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe by emailing information@ksib.com.au.
How long we keep it
Website analytics records are kept for up to 24 months. Form submissions and contact records are kept while we have a relationship with you or you remain subscribed, and are deleted on request unless we must keep them by law.
Your cookie choices
You can change your cookie choice at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer. Our cookie policy explains the cookies we use.
The Appraise reporting service
Appraise Group provides a financial reporting service to its clients under a client agreement. Through that service we collect the account details of the people our clients authorise to use it (name, work email address and role), the financial data and entity details our clients upload or enter for their reports, and operational records such as sign-in times and access logs, which we keep for security and reliability. We use this information only to provide the service, keep it secure and meet our legal and professional obligations. It is stored in Australia and is not used for marketing. Users are shown a collection notice when they first sign in. Retention and deletion follow the client agreement and our professional record-keeping obligations.
Data sharing with third parties
KSIB may share your personal information with third parties for purposes such as providing services, complying with legal obligations, or improving our offerings. We ensure that any third parties we engage adhere to strict confidentiality and data protection standards. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Protecting children's privacy
We understand the importance of protecting children's privacy. This website is not designed for or intentionally targeted at children 15 years of age or younger. It is not our policy to intentionally collect or store information about anyone under the age of 16.
